The MicroNode RFoG ONU family of products is are an ideal means of delivering RF video, forward and return path services, over a fiber optic infrastructure to home, businesses, and MDU/MTUs. The MicroNode R-ONU can be run stand alone in a network, similar to today's cable HFC mininodes, or in conjunction with a PON system. You choose the services you'd like to offer and the Alloptic MicroNode R-ONU family of products delivers the power and flexibility to support your services.

Forward Path and Return Path Capabilities

The Alloptic MicroNode RFoG ONU family of products captures the power and OPEX savings of an optical terminal coupled with electronic requirements of delivering video, data and voice over existing coax cabling. The MicroNode R-ONU provides optical-to-electronic conversion in a single, cost effective design and is agnostic to your headend equipment, set-top boxes and cable modems.

Preserving Your Investment

The MicroNode preserves your investment in Headend equipment, outside plant processes and procedures, and reduces your OSP maintenance costs. With a fiber optic infrastructure all the way to the customer location, you’ll eliminate annual testing and be able to provide GEPON functionality when you need it.

MicroNode RFoG ONU-based deployments provide operators a competitive advantage today via gaining the benefits of a fiber optic distribution network, while continuing to leverage the existing investment in RF and DOCSIS technologies.

The 200 series of MicroNodes provides higher RF output power for higher-loss in-home wiring and multi-subscriber applications,removing the requirement for a distribution amplifier at the customer premise.

The 500 series of MicroNodes provides higher RF output power with adjustable slope and gain settings for multi-dwelling applications, removing the requirement for a distribution amplifier at the customer premise.
